Robotic Horse
The robotic horse navigates within specific city parameters for tours. When inactive, the robot picks up trash and litter.

Robotic Whale
The whale offers rides around the river/ocean. The lower compartment is designed for trash detection, separation and collection.

Robotic Pigeon
The pigeon delivers mail and small packages more efficiently. Built-in cameras allow it to locate & dispose of garbage while roaming.

This was my first project for ΑΘΔ, a newly-established professional design fraternity. A unique aspect of this project was the broad range of disciplines represented within my team, comprising students from UX design, studio arts & technology, animation, and engineering.
Working in a multidisciplinary environment is incredibly humbling and I deeply appreciate the opportunity to expand my skillset, particularly in 3D modeling. I am immensely proud of our team for developing what seemed like an impossible idea, and I'm excited to work alongside my brothers at Alpha Theta Delta.
Fostering appreciation for animals and promoting wildlife conservation efforts.
Wildlife Appreciation
Robots transport users while aiding in cleanup & environmental monitoring.
Eco-Friendly Technology
Robotic animal transport offers a novel and exciting experience for travelers.
Fun & Innovative Tourism

Research
Exploring Eco-Friendly Robot Technology
→ Tourist cities often struggle with issues such as overcrowding, pollution, and environmental degradation due to high volumes of visitors
→ Green robot technology assists with waste monitoring, resource optimization, recycling and cleanup. Utilizing clean energy sources like solar, bio, and wind power can also contribute to sustainability efforts.

my sketches for the robotic animals and mobile app screens

Prototyping
Lo-Fi Wireframing
We converted our sketches into low-fidelity wireframes using Figma. For the app's UI design, we took inspiration from Uber and Veo, two design systems our team was familiar with. The main user flows were designed to correspond with our two primary services: ride and delivery.
Your Ride Is Here: Meet Animalia's Robots
Final Design
Our final solution features 3D models of the robotic animals, rendered using Fusion 360 and Maya.
Animalia: The Companion App
Final Design
To bring our mockups into high-fidelity, we built off of our initial wireframes in Figma, adding basic interactivity and a refined visual design. The robotic animals are synced through the mobile app, which which acts as the primary interface for user interaction.
Reflection
Final Design
As a group, our team created concept sketches for the horse, pigeon, and whale robots. We then synthesized various features into our final designs. During this process, I also drafted screens for the mobile app.

What Advantages Does Animalia Offer?
Solution
Drawing from our research findings, we identified three primary benefits and advantages of utilizing robotic transportation and eco-friendly technology:
Alpha Theta Delta's Challenge
Background
During my fraternity's initiation process, our team was tasked with designing a comprehensive mobility ecosystem that promotes sustainability. We specifically focused on the issue of urban tourism and chose to create a solution that integrates a wildlife theme for futuristic travel options.

What About…Robotic Animals?
Our team began by using Miro to brainstorm ideas for the design challenge. We focused our research on three key categories: transportation concepts, existing forms of transport, and the current issues and challenges related to transportation and mobility. Given the flexibility to experiment and enjoy this project, we decided to pursue the concept of using robotic animals.
Introducing Animalia: Reminagined Urban Tourism
With a more refined idea of our final solution, we conceptualized Animalia—an experience defined by its combination of robotic animal services and integrated systems. The diagram below breaks down each of these categories.
Solution
Animalia
Designing a futuristic ride-hailing & delivery service to reimagine an urban mobility system that centers on technology & sustainability.
